WELCOME TO THE COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

The MarSU College of Education (CED) is the premier school for Teacher Education in the island Province of Marinduque. The program Bachelor of Secondary Education passed the Level IV – Phase I Accreditation last September 2022, while the Bachelor of Elementary Education is Level Accredited by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (AACCUP). Now, the school with the entire college has been certified ISO 9001:2008 in February 2017 and was awarded ISO 9001:2005 in August 2018.

In the delivery of its services to the people, MarSU College of Education has already attested to itself as an institution providing quality education to the youth of Marinduque. With high passing percentages in the Licensure Examination for Teacher (LET) for BSEd, producing LET Board Top notchers, and high employability of its graduates, MarSU-CFd continuously commits to preparing educators imbued with ideals, aspirations, and traditions of Philippine life and cultures who assume major roles in national and global developments.

Mr. Kyle David V. Atienza

Kyle David V. Atienza, a 27-year-old former Special Science Teacher in Marinduque, dedicated his weekdays to teaching STEM and research subjects while spending weekends conducting outreach activities and free literacy sessions with his rolling blackboard. Fondly called "Kuya Kyle" by his beneficiaries and team, he is known for his unwavering commitment to education and his values of kindness, faith, and love. Recognized for his excellence and impact, he was recently promoted to Senior Education Program Specialist for Human Resource Development in the same agency.

Dr. Reydante M. Olivadez

Reydante M. Olavidez, a 40-year-old Certified Biology Teacher in Louisiana, USA, believes that education laid the foundation for his achievements. The values and discipline he gained during his studies helped him overcome the challenges of international teaching and adapt to diverse environments. He advises BSEd students to "believe in the power of your profession, embrace challenges, and strive for growth." He emphasizes that while the path may not always be easy, it is deeply rewarding, with the potential to impact lives in ways that go beyond imagination.

Dr. Menandro M. Merlin

Dr. Menandro M. Merlin, 48, an Associate Professor IV and Director of Institutional Quality Assurance, inspires his students with the principle of "paying it forward," emphasizing that talents are gifts from God meant to be shared. He advises BSEd students to continuously develop their talents, skills, intelligence, and values, never stop learning, and show empathy by uplifting those in need. He reminds them that all possessions and abilities are borrowed and should be cultivated for the benefit of others.

Ms. Joycee N. Osacdin

Ms. Joycee N. Osacdin, a 29-year-old Science teacher, encourages BSEd students to discover their strengths and use them as tools for success while turning weaknesses into opportunities for growth. She highlights that teaching is a lifelong journey of learning and self-improvement. Most importantly, she urges future educators to serve the country with dedication and passion, as committed teachers are needed now more than ever.
